Center for Grass Roots Development Research and Action is established as a state level non-governmental organization by a group of devoted researchers, social workers and professionals with a noble mission to promote multi-faceted rural development. The organization is registered under Madhya Pradesh Society Registration Act, 1973 as the Association of Grass root development Research and Action in the year 1996. Majority of the Indian population resides in the villages which needs continuous efforts for socio-economic development to have self sustaining development in the rural areas. A change in terms of technology, employment patterns, skills, health education, and positive environment towards it is the need of the hour. In order to achieve these avowed challenges and responsibilities CGDRA has come into existence. Since its inception, the organization is functioning in the direction of socio-economic development for rural areas in the field of Panchayati Raj, Agriculture, Science and Technology, Environment, Health Research, Skill Development and Capacity building.

Objectives

  • To promote quality of life of rural people by launching appropriate scientific technological projects in the thrust areas.
  • To ensure sustainable development of environment and other natural resources.
  • To ameliorate economic status and livelihood conditions of the marginalized section of the society.
  • To ensure women empowerment through capacity building and developing competence.
  • To organize entrepreneurship development programmes and to generate feasible income oriented ventures in the rural areas.
